The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has opened the final packages of the Vadodara–Virar section, making the entire stretch from Vadodara to Kharel near Navsari operational. Currently open on a trial basis for light vehicles, this 8-lane expressway significantly enhances connectivity between Central and South Gujarat. Toll collection has not yet commenced as the trial period continues to monitor for potential issues.
